In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to easily create a fashion contrast effect in Photoshop just a few minutes.
- Adobe Photoshop CS
- A stock photo
Open the stock photo and go to Image > Image Size in order to resize the image to 1000px width and 667px height.
Go to Filter > Blur > Smart Blur and apply blur with the settings shown below.
Now, let’s increase the brightness and sharpness by selecting Filter > Sharpen > Smart Sharpen and using the following values.
Select Layer > Duplicate Layer > OK to duplicate the current layer. Then, choose Image > Adjustments > Channel Mixer and use the following settings.
Now, change layer blending mode to Color Burn.
Duplicate the original layer again and drag it above all the other layers in the layers palette. Select Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and use the values shown below.
Change the layer blending mode to Lighter Color.
To desaturate the picture, duplicate the current layer and select Image > Adjustments > Desaturate.
Go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast and increase the brightness.
Finally, change the layer blending mode for the current layer to Screen.
And we’re done!
